I have almost stopped offering in-home newborn sessions about a million times because it's a lot of extra work to carry my stuff and set up in a space that I can't completely control... BUT then I have a session like this and I never want to give up the sweet, natural, lifestyle option that an in-home session offers! Not only that, I get to know my clients even better in their own space, with their own stuff. We are just more relaxed and ourselves when we're in our own space and there are trains and cars and dolls and lots of fun to entertain sweet little siblings!
In my home studio, I can control the lighting, the backdrops, the temperature, the noise level, and everything else that's within my power to control. As you can imagine, going into a client's home can prove quite the challenge! However, I can't say I've ever been one to shy away from a challenge! For an In-Home session, I basically set up my little studio in the client's home. I allow my client to choose whether they'd like a more posed session, lifestyle session, or a little of both and we plan the session from there!
This little beauty was a dream to capture.. Her mom really loved the idea of "Lifestyle" family images but also loved the pretty poses for solo portraits of her baby girl. I had so much fun cuddling little miss Ali and capturing her with her absolutely
