Hi, friend! I’m Amy!

〰️

From the moment that sweet baby girl took her first breath, I was hooked. I attended my first birth as a photographer in 2014 and have been chasing that birth high ever since. There is nothing in the world like witnessing a beautiful, strong mama bring new life into this world and no matter how many I see or what role I'm in, it never gets old. It is truly a gift and a privilege to hold space for you as a part of your birth team.

As a labor and delivery nurse and trained birth doula, I am intimately familiar with the birth process and the birth space. I am able to adjust and adapt to capture any and all circumstances, while remaining professional and in tune to your needs. I am deeply passionate about birth photography and capturing your story as it unfolds. Some moms have said they are eternally grateful for the support I was able to provide during labor, and other moms have said how thankful they were that they couldn't even tell I was in the room! I will be whatever you need me to be for YOUR story.

When I'm not behind my camera, I'm busy changing diapers and soaking up snuggles from my own 3 kiddos at home! My husband John and I are falling more in love every single day in the midst of sticky fingers, crumby floors and piles of laundry. We moved from NC to Savannah in 2016 to be closer to my family and now can't imagine life without Grandmommie! Shortly after moving here, a photographer friend mentioned her job as a nurse at the birth center in passing. I was a pediatric nurse by training and experience but my curiosity was piqued. Upon further investigation, the birth center was hiring nurses so I decided to take a chance and haven't looked back! As a birth photographer, I have attended many hospital births and just couldn't help supporting my clients with the knowledge I'd learned from the birth center! In 2020, I decided to make it official by becoming a certified doula through Childbirth International. This certification has allowed me to continue to support clients in the hospital and at the birth center despite COVID-19, for which I am so grateful. Before I knew it, my whole life became about birth and babies and coming alongside mamas through this incredible journey became my passion.
